A magical Christmas adventure at the NEC Birmingham from 14-23 December 2007

Fairy dust and sparkle will fill the NEC, Birmingham this December when hall 4 is transformed for the launch of The Magic of Christmas – an adventure for children and adults alike which will leave them full of festive spirit for the big day.

The Magic of Christmas is a live, theatre-based event for all the family designed to put the enchantment back into Christmas with an array of fun-filled, magical experiences and plenty of shopping.

For 10 days Petal, the cheeky Christmas tree fairy, will guide the young and the young at heart on an enchanted journey to the ‘Magical Village’ where Father Christmas is running out of Christmas magic and needs their help.

A warm welcome to The Magic of Christmas!

In a world where every day is Christmas Day, the journey begins in the entrance hall of grand old Cranberry Castle, where guests are greeted by Petal. With a swish of her wand she leads guests through a series of enticing and secret surprises to meet Father Christmas.

The mystery of what kind of help he needs and how children can give it is revealed – and every guest gets a chance to make sure Christmas goes on as it should.

After, they are led to the Magical Village, where market stalls will sell everything from candy canes to oneoff gifts, speciality food and drink, and childrens’ toys. And, as part of the all-inclusive ticket price, children can enjoy carousel rides, inflatable ‘snow’ slides, the disco igloo, arts activities and an inflatable gym.  If that’s not enough, live theatre based entertainment will include an aerial acrobat, puppet shows, festive sing-alongs and musical performances, plus tap dancing reindeer and snow fairies.
